Viaje 4: Toledo

On Friday, my class and I took a day trip to Toledo. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Alcala and it is a gorgeous city. It used to be the capital of Spain. Toledo is also known as the city of three cultures, Christian, Arabic and Jewish.

Toledo is a small city but has a lot of history. Toledo also has a lot of hills, so where your walking shoes. We visited a lot of churches throughout the city. It was a fun day trip! I also tried Marzapan, it was surprisingly good.

The panoramic views of the city were amazing. We also climbed to the top of a tower to get a view over the city, lots of stairs, but totally worth it. Since we only got to visit for a couple hours, we didn’t get to do everything, but we still learned a lot about the history of Toledo.

This coming weekend I’m off to Switzerland! Have a great week.

XO,

B
